James Xin Lee, and the wife chef Tina Lee, aka Adelaidefoodies, would like to introduce you to our culinary world. We were born in China and grow up in Adelaide with schooling and all formal educations taken place in Adelaide. At daytime, when we are not blogging, James (Xin) is a wine chemist (organic synthesis) and a Justice of the Peace (JP) for South Australia while Tina is a freelancer and professional Beauty and Fashion blogger in her Chinese world. Of course, at night, we either do blogging about our food experience , watching food related youtube channels or communicating with our fans on facebook and twitter.
Adelaidefoodies.com was established by James (Xin) and Tina in 2011. Both of us are genuine foodies, but Tina took a step ahead of me as she is a self taught cook, the photographer for the site and the recipe developer for the site and I am only doing all the write-ups. That’s the life of a husband :(. The blog and posts are about our culinary journey in Adelaide. It contains restaurant reviews, original recipes, product reviews, ingredient introductions as well as attendances of both of us at food and wine related events. We frequently run giveaways for various promoters and we feel satisfied to pass any of my loved products to our readers though this platform. Adelaidefoodies.com currently reaches 10000+ readers monthly and is ranked no. 859805 worldwide.
Another purpose of this blog is to introduce the fantastic South Australia and its food produces to other states and the world. We are strong supporters to EatLocal SA and Buy SA, but this does not mean that we don’t like products from other places. In fact, in the subtitle of the blog, it is stated “Buy Locally, Eat Globally” which really means “buy local produces and cook international cuisines”. Hence, in the recipes in this blog, readers can expect to see different cuisines across the world. I love Japanese, Italian, German, Mediterranean and European food and would love to explore delicacies of any existing culture/cuisine on the Planet Earth. Although I am a wine chemist, I have not published any wine reviews but will definitely do so in future to introduce you some of the best SA wines from different regions.
South Australia is a fantastic place to live and to enjoy life. Everyone living in the state would probably agree with this. However, our potential in tourism and development are underestimated. The state government’s plan on food tourism is a fantastic opportunity to promote our lovely state and city. Hence, Adelaidefoodies.com would like to use its own channel to participate in this with introduction to many of the fantastic markets and producers.
Restaurants specified in this blog are generally based in the city. All photos and reviews posted here show my genuine experience at different venues or with different products regardless of sponsorship. Photos are not provided by any restaurants, affiliates, public relation firms, brands, or other individuals. I am not associated with any part of the food industry except where academic needs arise.
PR/Invitations & Disclosure
As Adelaidefoodies.com opens to opportunities to taste different products, we are happy to review products that are sent to us. However, a good review is not always guaranteed unless the items are genuinely good and can be beneficial or useful for my readers. No paid promotion of products or services are displayed on this site. In case of a review about an event, a dinner or products that have been sent or provided free of charge, it will ALWAYS be disclosed. Sorry but we do not accept just press release. All products need to be taste tested to be featured on the site.
Regarding invitations to events and sponsored restaurant reviews, we do accept them. However, since the blog is the property of both James and Tina, who both contributes to the blog, invitations for both of us are preferred and expected. Please feel free to invite us to your food and wine events. A post will not always be guaranteed unless it was a good event that we genuinely liked. From time to time, we’ve been to many of the major food events in SA and other events run by companies or professional bodies. All posts are copy-right protected, but if you want to use any parts please let me know. Pictures of events are up for sale. Please contact me directly for a quote.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a direct message on the CONTACT ME page.
This blog is featured on Urbanspoon and Every Recipe Top Food Blogs. The blog is also a member of Food Blogs Australia, the only professional body in Australia for food bloggers. With the recent development of the re-branding of South Australia, Adelaidefoodies.com joined as a media member to promote South Australia produces.
